Jim has been in the music industry for around 52 years, and in ministry in one form or another for 25 years. Although for most of his musical career he has performed secular music, for the last 15 years, the music he has written and recorded is in the contemporary Christian realm.
Along with music, Jim had a 12 year run as a jail pastor, bible teacher, and counselor in a County Detention facility in Cody, Wyoming. These days, he teaches bible study to senior citizens, as he also been involved in senior public transit for 26 years. Jim also co-pastored two churches in two locations at the same time.
Jim was on the road performing as early as 7th & 8th grade, at which time, the band members parents would take turns transporting the ambitious musical youth. That was followed by several years in the San Diego area pursuing the Southern California life…….(including surfing and snorkeling), and playing “A LOT!” He has now settled in Wyoming for many years……quite contently.
Jim was studio musician on staff in San Diego and has spent MEGA hours in the studio over the years, on his own projects as well as others. He has been part of several recordings with secular bands he played in, and has three of his own solo CD’s out on the market. Currently, he is little by little working on a new CD of songs written during the road days. The working title will be, “Songs from the vault.”
Check out his music, you won’t regret it. It’s available widely on the internet.
